Overseer James Asamoah Wettey and his wife, Mrs. Sarah Asamoah Wettey who have been called into full-time Ministry in the Church of Pentecost have promised to Manifest the grace of God in their ministry.
They made this promise during their official farewell Service a the Darkuman Central Assembly of The Church of Pentecost where they worshipped until their call into Ministry.
Overseer James Wettey has been posted to Babile in the Wa Area of The Church of Pentecost as the resident Minister for his first station. He will be an Overseer of the church in the district until he is elevated to the status of a Pastor.
Speaking at the farewell Service on the theme, ‘Repositioning the local church to do the master’s will’, Pastor Phillip Appoh who is the resident Pastor did the Darkuman District indicated that it is an obligation for every servant of God to do His what He God as the Master desires.
The preacher admonished the newly called Minister and his wife as well as all leaders that their only focus should be in the one who called them. “The ministry consists of Good and Bad times. But whether good or bad, keep in mind the Master who has sent you”, he said.
He also added that “there are a lot of persons who practice religion but do not know God.” For such people, they have no share in the heavenly glory.
Continuing his sermon, Rev. Philip Appoh cautioned about the essence of time saying, “there will come a time when you won’t be as active as you are and won’t be able to do what you do now. Therefore strive to do your Master’s will”.
He also stressed on the importance of the word of God in ministry and the lives of the believer.” Sometimes, prayer can fail. But if you combine prayer with the word, I tell you, you will never fail., he said
