Former Flagbearer aspirant of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Alan Kyerematen, will address the public today over his political future.

This follows the decision of the former Minister for Trade and Industry to withdraw from the Presidential race of the NPP three weeks ago.

Announcing his decision to withdraw from the contest on September 5, 2023, the veteran politician cited electoral irregularities, unfair treatment and bias during the party’s super delegates conference.

At the time of announcing his withdrawal, Mr Kyerematen indicated that in due course, he will provide details of his future political career.

Meanwhile, some political watchers are speculating that Mr Kyerematen who has a huge following in the NPP will announce that he’ll contest the 2024 election as an independent candidate.
