The Chief of New Akrofuom in the Adansi Asokwa district of the Ashanti Region has survived community mob lynching attack after failed alleged attempt to sodomize a 17 year old boy on Monday October 23, 2023.
According to Police source, the Chief allegedly entered the young boy’s room purposely to engage the young man in an anal sex with the young guy.
The boy who was not ready for the act earlier alerted some Elders in the community.
Upon sensing danger, the chief fled the scene and the community members went to his residence and attempted to lynch him.
The incident took place in the early hours of Monday, October 23.
Police officers later arrived at the scene and arrested the suspect into custody to assist Police investigations.
Emmanuel Achirem, the assembly member for the New Akrofuom electoral area, disclosed that the chief was once accused of a similar incident some time ago.
“This is the second time the Chief has been accused of a similar act. But this case has more evidence” he alleged.
