The Upper West Regional Minister, Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih has stated that Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia will be fine President for Ghana.

Speaking to Starr News, Dr. Bin Salih stated that the Vice President has rich experience to lead the NPP into the 2024 election.

“The process has been smooth, right from the entrance you will check your name and you are given the ballot then you go and vote.

“It is obvious Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia if you see a single vote from the Upper East you know it’s for Bawumia. For me I think that he has demonstrated that he has what it takes to lead the party into the next general election,” Dr. Salih stated.

He continued: “From his experience I believe that he will be a very good President for our dear country. With my center I expect nothing less than 90%. I pray that the Vice President wins the election.”

The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has commenced the presidential primaries to elect a candidate to lead the party to the 2024 general election.

The primary is being held at all the constituencies across the country.

Contestants in the high stakes election include: Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Ken Agyapong, former Minister of Food and Agriculture, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto and former Member of Parliament for Mampong, Addai Francis Nimoh.

In all 204,144 delegates are expected to cast their votes which consist of polling station executives in 38,622 polling stations among others.

A total of 6,272 Electoral Areas Coordinators will also vote in the election, while 12 persons from each of the 27 branches external branches will also cast their ballot.
