Renowned Nigerian movie star, James Ikechukwu Esomugha popularly known as Jim Iyke has come out to explain why he came out with the ‘Who is that’ response when asked about his past relationship with Ghanaian actress Nadia Buari in a recent podcast.
According to the actor, he refused to glorify conversations about his past relationship with Nadia Buari, because he finds it disrespectful to both their current partners.
Speaking on Starr FM’s Starr Drive with Foster Agor, he said, “Which husband or wife wants to hear about their partner’s Ex?” He revealed that his ‘Who is that’ response in a recent podcast was only an act of respect to his current partner and Nadia’s husband.
He added that the host on the podcast asked him explicit questions about Nadia Buari, so in order not to answer, he quizzed the host with the “Who is that” response, “I didn’t want to offend a married woman of four children, so it was better to leave the past in the past. I have to respect my current partner and Nadia’s husband too”
In the past, Jim Iyke and Nadia Buari were often spotted together at various public events, sparking speculations about a romantic involvement. Their frequent appearances side by side had fueled gossip columns and social media discussions, with fans eagerly following their every move.
However, the recent podcast interview shed light on the apparent disconnect between the actor and his rumoured former flame, Nadia Buari.
Jim Iyke’s response, claiming not to know Nadia Buari, raised questions about the nature of their past relationship. The actress is now married with four kids.
