Former Black Stars player, Samuel Inkoom has called for national unity and support for the Ghanaian national team ahead of the upcoming African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast next month.

In an interview with Natalia Andoh on ‘The Zone’ on Starr FM , Inkoom expressed his belief in the upcoming African Cup of Nations and recognizes it as a significant event for Ghanaian football.

He appealed to the nation to come together, unite, and offer their prayers and support to the national team.

“I want to also use this privilege to also tell Ghanaians that this cup of nations coming on which is Black Stars, that is what we have, that is our property”.

“Very soon the coach will bring the names out and I know everybody has his own favorite let’s be together let’s pray for the team, let’s encourage the team and I believe that with our support, they’ll have something better for us as Ghanaians in this cup of nations, thank you everyone.”

He conveyed optimism that the team will deliver something meaningful and memorable for the citizens of Ghana, by instilling hope and confidence, Samuel Inkoom seeks to inspire enthusiasm and anticipation among the people.

“The Ghanaian national team will achieve remarkable success in the Cup of Nations”. He stated.

“Ghanaian can provide the players with the motivation and encouragement they need to excel on the field by rallying behind the national team”.

The Black Stars are scheduled to commence their campaign against Cape Verde on January 14, 2024, followed by matches against Egypt and Mozambique to conclude the group stage in the tournament starting on January 13.
