The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has announced the nominees for the 48th edition of the prestigious SWAG Awards.

The SWAG Awards, Ghana’s longest-running sports excellence award scheme, consistently recognizes top performing sportsmen and women since 1975, recognizing their efforts in sports development.

West Ham and Black Star midfielder, Mohammed Kudus, will face Ghana Athletics sensation James Dadzie, who recently broke the 200m record for the Sports Personality of the Year Award.

Kudus emerged as the ultimate winner in the 47th edition and has been nominated for the 48th edition, which promises to be bigger and better.

Top sports journalists and federation heads who have been partners and promoters of sports will be honored for their long service.

This year’s edition is scheduled at the Acra International Conference Center on Friday, January 12, 2024, at 7pm.
