Some delegates in New Juaben North Constituency have picked and filed the nomination form for Eastern Regional Minister Seth Kwame Acheampong to contest the parliamentary primaries of the NPP in the constituency.

Seth Kwame Acheampong was a member of Parliament for Mpraeso constituency in the 5th, 6th, and 7th Parliament of the fourth Republic but lost to the current MP for the area David Ansah Opoku in the last primaries when attempting to seek a fourth term.

However, President Akufo-Addo’s appointment as Eastern Regional Minister rekindled his political journey, now aiming to represent New Juaben North to succeed Nana Adjei Boateng the incumbent Member of Parliament who has hanged his boot.

Hundreds of delegates and supporters who picked nomination forms, amidst singing and drumming, have filed on behalf of the Regional minister to contest the parliamentary primaries.

Addressing the supporters, the former New Juaben North chairman of NPP Kwadwo Boateng Agyemang officially declared his support for Eastern Regional Minister Seth Kwame Acheampong to become a member of Parliament for the Constituency in 2025.

He testified to the competence, hard work, humility and vision of Mr. Acheampong for the youth in New Juaben North.

“I am supporting him because he is hardworking. He has shown commitment to creating job opportunities for the youth. He is purposely coming to provide jobs for the youth”.

Kwadwo Boateng added “today, is the first time in my entire 16 years as a constituency chairman that I am seeing everybody supporting a candidate who is going to file his nomination form. This is a testament that NPP will by all means retain power. The person who is going to represent New Juaben North, a revered person who is taking over the button after Hackman Owusu Agyemang, Nana Adjei Boateng”.

Seth Kwame Acheampong assured that he is ready to serve the people of New Juaben North with humility.

He urged his supporters to embark on a campaign devoid of insult, clarifying that the propaganda that he is not an indigene of New Juaben North is false.

According to him he is a member of the Royal family from Koforidua Effiduase.

“Delegates came to me to contest. They picked the form and submitted it on my behalf. This sacrifice of theirs humbles and encourages me so much. This is not a journey I haven’t embarked on before. I am embarking on this journey with every strength, and by the grace of Almighty, I know that I will succeed.I am ready to serve”
