Sarah Adwoa Safo, the current Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, suffered defeat in the Parliamentary primary conducted on Saturday, January 27, 2024.

She secured 328 votes, while her closest rival, Mike Oquaye Jnr, emerged victorious with 1,194 votes.

In Ablekuma North, the incumbent Member of Parliament, Sheila Penelope Bartels, also faced electoral loss.

The first-term MP garnered 637 votes, falling short against her opponent, a former MP, who secured 756 votes.

As a result of this outcome, the daughter of NPP Stalwart Kwabena Bartels will not be returning to Parliament in January 2025.
