The Accra Platinum Leo and Lion Club have served hot meal to over 300 head porters (also known as Kayayie) in Accra as part of the clubs efforts to fulfil their quest for global causes – hunger.
This is the second time in a row that the clubs are supporting the underprivileged persons in society.
Some with babies cringed to their backs amidst running for their share, saw them form large and long queues for food at Tema Station.
Members of the clubs did not only donate food items, but also fed the children with hot meals and drinks.
The members also interacted with them, giving them hope and advised that they could be whatever they want to be in future if they stay focused.
The gesture was a joint-collaboration between the Accra Lions Club and the Accra Leo Club which has become an annual ritual on their calendar.
