President Akufo-Addo has nominated 26 new District Chief Executives (DCEs) to be voted on by Assembly Members of their respective districts.
This comes on the back of the President revoking the appointment of some 24 DCEs.
“Pursuant to my letter of 2nd February 2024 and in accordance with article 243 (1) of the Constitution, I have made the following nominations to the office of Chief Executive of the following Municipal and District Assemblies, pending the approval by their respective assemblies,” the letter addressed to the Local Government Minister explained.
