It was an atmosphere of togetherness, comradeship, and unity when the former Deputy National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chief Biney Hamilton brought together the entire chapter leadership of the NDC-UK/Ireland.

The purpose of the gathering even though informal, was to discuss and share ideas on the way forward for the chapter, and also discuss what needs to be done to make the chapter regain its enviable position as the trailblazer when it comes to the NDC in the diaspora.

The move is also to contribute its quota in ensuring that the party win power come election 2024.

In the meeting, Chief Biney brought to bear his experience as a former Deputy National Organizer, and the need for the chapter executives to work together to achieve common objectives for the NDC party.

In his submission, he emphasized that in all situations the interest of the party should remain supreme over the interest of individuals and that the party executives should all endeavour to work with a united front.

He retreated that it is only in unity that the party can be assured of winning this year’s general elections and rescuing Ghanaians from the long-suffering in the hands of the incompetent NPP government.

Chief Biney mentioned that the 2024 elections will be much more difficult than the previous elections as the NPP party is determined to hold onto power to cover the massive corruption that they have perpetrated on Ghanaians. He admonished the chapter executives to endeavour to work together and lead by example to be able to carry the whole chapter members along.

The meeting also had in attendance Comrade Okaih Mintah, former Eastern Regional Youth Organizer and currently the National Youth Working Committee Chairman of the party. He also touched on the importance of exhibiting a united front as chapter executives and charged members of the party in the diaspora to also focus and engage on issues back home and explain the policies of the party to their families and friends since they have an influence on their dependants as their contribution in helping the party win power come the 2024 elections.

In their response both the Chapter Chairman Mr. Conrad Dumbah and the Secretary Mr. Kofi Adoli on behalf of the entire chapter executives affirmed their commitment to work together in unity and achieve the common objective of the party which is to win the 2024 election. They promised to eschew pettiness and not to allow individual interests to suppress the party’s interest. There were other contributions from other chapter executives present. The meeting ended with a good dinner courtesy of the host of the event.
