Benjamin Azamati, the reigning Ghanaian sprint champion, has advanced to the semi-finals of the men’s 100m competition at the 13th African Games.

The Former West Texas A&M athlete qualified with a time of 10.54s, leaving his opponents gasping for air.

Azamati is aiming to advance to the finals in the men’s 100m race’s semis stage, scheduled for 4:50 pm today.

Aggerh Barnabas, who finished second in Heat 2 with a time of 10.46s, is also through to the Semifinals.

Sarfo Ansah finished fourth in Heat 1 of the 100m race, clocking 10.34 seconds, but still qualified for the semis.

Hor Halutie advanced to the semi-finals in the women’s division after placing second in Heat 1 with a time of 11.46s.

Kwartemaa Benedicta finished fifth in Heat 2 of the 100m race with a time of 11.95 seconds.
