The Ministry of Health has assured that some monies will be released to the Electricity Company of Ghana in the coming days to offset debt owed by some 91 health facilities across the country.

ECG served notice to disconnect the administration blocks of the facilities after a 72-hour ultimatum, sparking serious concerns.

But PRO of the Health Ministry, Isaac Offei, disclosed to Starr New’s Joshua Kodjo Mensah that the government has intervened and monies will be released soon.

He, however, noted that there is an ongoing reconciliation process to determine exactly how much electricity is used for clinical services as against ancillaries.
