Michael Ephson’s last-minute goal secured the final spot for the Ghana national U20 team, Black Satellites, in the Men’s football tournament at the African Games on Tuesday night.

The Black Satellites secured a 1-0 victory over Benin at the University of Ghana stadium, advancing to the final four and remaining in contention for a medal.

Host nation, Ghana, despite their initial dominance, struggled to score and had to go into the break on level footing.

Ghana continued to dominate the contest after halftime, while Senegal had moments but struggled to penetrate the hosts’ defense.

In the 83rd minute, substitute Michael Ephson scored a goal from close range to give the Black Satellites a deserved lead.

The Black Satellites managed to secure a narrow win to progress to the final of the men’s football tournament at the African Games.
