Leadership of the Public Services Workers Union of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has declared an indefinite strike effective Friday May 3, 2024.

The move is in protest of what they describe as an attempt to eject executive director for the EPA, Dr. Kingsly Krugu from his official residence for the new Interior Minister Henry Quartey.

Addressing union members Chairman for the union Godsway Daniels directed all staff to lay down their tools on Friday.

According to him, the workers will March to the mother Ministry; Environment, Science and Innovation to present a petition and subsequently occupy the said bungalow to fend off attempt by the interior ministry to eject their boss.

Mr. Daniels cautioned the works and housing minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah to stay off the bungalow since the EPA is not in a position financially to be able to renovate a new bungalow.

He questioned what has happened to the bungalow occupied by interior ministers wondering whether it’s been sold and to who.
