A former defender for Accra Hearts of Oak, Daniel Quaye, believes his former club will dedeat rivals Asante Kotoko this Sunday in the super clash game at the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi.
The Kumasi Sports Stadium will be the main centre of attraction as the two glamorous football giants in Ghana football, Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko lock horns in a battle which could potentially be the talk of town regardless of how disappointing these 2 clubs have been this season.
The two giants of Ghanaian football are set to face off in matchday 31 of the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
The standard in the performance of these two teams has dropped to the point where one can not easily predict who walks away with a point.
But speaking on THE GAME sports show on GHOne TV with Benjamin Yamoah and Monica Bukari, former defender of Accra Hearts of Oak, Dan Quaye is optimistic the phobians will deliver against the fabulous stating that the current form of both clubs will not determine the outcome.
“As for me, I know Hearts is going to win because kumasi is our home, though the team is not that good, I have the confidence that they will win to put smiles on the faces of the supporters”.
He, however, noted that there has been improvement in the teams performance since Coach Abubakar Quattara took over.
“I think since the coach came, they are doing well. All I want is for them to score and win this game, which I am 100 percent sure they will. “
As the clock ticks and hours go by, the game gradually approaches and Hearts of Oak who sits 12th on the league log with 38 points after 30 matches will need to redeem their image and put smiles back on the faces of their supporters.
