The organizing committee of the Women’s FA Cup will embark on a trophy tour visiting the Ghana Police Service and Ghana Armed Forces headquarters.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) officials will present the trophy to the top officials of both services.
This event marks the first-ever cup final clash between security services, with discussions on enhancing Ghana Football.
The Police Ladies, 2016 Women’s FA Cup winners, secured their spot in this season’s final by defeating Supreme 3-1. The Army Ladies advanced with a 2-1 extra-time victory over Epiphany Warriors.
The Women’s FA Cup final will open the Women’s Football Festival’s double-header on June 8 at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
