Coach Yusif Basigi has been nominated for the Coach of the Month awards for the month of May in the Ghana Women’s Premier League.
The experienced tactician led his side, Hasaacas Ladies FC, to 2 wins and a draw with no defeats in the past month to clinch another silverware in the Southern Zone.
He faces off competition from Kumasi Sports Academy’s Emmanuel Eshun and Dreamz Ladies’ Douglas Adomako Owura, who also have 2 wins and a draw in the month of May.
For the player of the month, Ivy Owusu of Dreamz Ladies, Wasima Mohammed of Northern Ladies, Belinda Ofori of Hasaacas Ladies and Jennifer Adjei of Soccer Intellectuals have all been nominated.
Meanwhile, the women’s FA Cup final between Police Ladies and Army Ladies will take place at the University of Ghana Stadium on Saturday at 4pm before the Premier League Championship final will come on at 7pm between Hasaacas Ladies from the Southern Zone and Ampem Darkoa Ladies from the Northern Zone will happen.
