The management of Takoradi Technical University (TTU) paid a courtesy call on the management of EIB Network today, June 4, 2024, as part of their 70th Anniversary Celebration.

According to the TTU delegation made up of the Vice Chancellor, Rev. Prof. John Frank Eshun; the Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Victor Kweku Bondzie; and the Registrar, Dr. Moses Maclean Abnory, the purpose of the visit was to officially introduce the management of TTU, and to discuss issues of common interest with respect to the organization of their 70th Anniversary celebration.

The theme of the TTU 70th Anniversary Celebration, which is aimed at commemorating the institution’s rich history, achievements and contributes to technical education in Ghana and beyond is, “70 Years of Societal Relevance: Projecting Excellence and Innovation in Technical and Vocational Education and Training”.

According to the delegation, the celebration, which is expected to be climaxed in September, 2024, will feature a series of events including academic symposiums, alumni round table discussions and reunions, community outreach programmes and exhibitions; showcasing the university’s achievements and innovations over the seven decades; awards night and other fun activities. They also emphasized on the need to bridge the gap between the university and the media; seeking support from EIB Network, to enable them achieve the aim of their anniversary celebration.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of EIB Network, Mr. Nathaniel Kwabena Adisi (Bola Ray), acknowledged the university’s achievements and applauded the role played by the management of TTU in ensuring that the university provides quality technical and vocational education that meets the evolving needs of society, as well as the efforts made in organizing the 70th anniversary celebration. On behalf of his team, he assured the TTU delegation:

“…EIB, we want to give you our utmost assurance that we are going to be with you in this journey, and you have our highest assurance of us coming on board to sensitize and educate as well as promote the good deeds you’ve been able to do. So, thank you very much.”

Other members of EIB Network’s management team also expressed their gratitude to the TTU delegation and assured them of their maximum support. The other members of the management team that interacted with the TTU delegation include; Mr. Santokh Singh (Chief Operating Office), Mr. Solomon Joojo Cobbinah (Group Managing News Editor), Ms. Dorcas Dela Kwao (Group HR/Admin Manager), Mr. Emmanuel Numoh (Acting Financial Controller) and Mr. Kwabena Offei-Kwadey Nkrumah (Head of EIB Digital).
