Jerome Otchere, a renowned Sports Journalist has indicated his strong trust in the coach for the Black Stars, Otto Addo as he believes he is the ideal man for the Black Stars coaching position.
Addo supervised the Black to two wins to propel Ghana to second spot in Group I in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with nine points.
In an interview on THE GAME on GHOne tv, Jerome Otchere explained that there is still a significant amount of work to be done on the Black Stars team and Otto Addo is the perfect man to fix it.
“He’s the perfect man for the job, I mean there’s no question about that, because he may not have been the type of coach the Ghanaian Football Association (GFA) told us they were going to look for but somehow they settled on him” he said.
Otchere further addressed that Otto Addo is the right man for the team based on his recent performances and believes Ghanaian fans should support and encourage him for good results.
“He has come and played two games yet there are works to be done on the team in the last two matches but based on what I’ve seen in the last two games he’s the right man for the job and we should encourage him to to give us more of what we saw in the last two matches“ he said.
The victories have put Ghana in a strong position as they aim to qualify for their fifth World Cup, set to be held in the USA, Mexico, and Canada in 2026.
