Seven firefighters with the Ghana National Fire Service station in Kade, in the Eastern Region, have been involved in a near-fatal accident.

The crash occurred Sunday morning at approximately 09:08 hours.

The firefighters were aboard Fire Engine (FS 438), which was speeding in response to an emergency call.

The incident resulted in injuries to seven crew members, who are now receiving medical attention at St. Dominic’s Hospital and Kade Government Hospital.

Further details about the cause of the accident and the condition of the injured crew members are yet to be released. Authorities are investigating the incident.
