Former MP for Bantama and ex-CEO of EPA, Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu, has thrown his weight behind the Bawumia/NAPO ticket for the upcoming 2024 elections, urging members of the NPP and the public alike to unite in support.

In a press statement released today, Dr. Kokofu conveyed his congratulations to Dr. Matthew Opoku-Prempeh (NAPO) on his nomination by the NPP Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. He pledged unwavering support to the duo, emphasizing their collective goal to achieve the party’s “Breaking-The-8 Agenda.”

“I have already congratulated Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO) on his nomination and have pledged my unflinching support. We shall together prosecute the Breaking-The-8 Agenda,” stated Dr. Kokofu.

Calling for unity within the party, Dr. Kokofu implored the NPP’s rank and file to rally behind Dr. Bawumia and Dr. Opoku-Prempeh, stressing that unity and reconciliation are pivotal for securing victory in the upcoming general elections.

Dr. Bawumia, in recent days, has met with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to inform him of his choice of running mate, Dr. Opoku-Prempeh. The President has endorsed their partnership, and subsequent meetings with the Parliamentary Caucus and the National Executive Council have garnered widespread support for their nomination.

The NPP’s National Council is scheduled to convene on Thursday, July 4, 2024, to formally endorse the ticket, marking the commencement of their campaign to achieve the ambitious “Breaking-The-8 Agenda.”
