Contemporary Ghanaian Gospel singer, Ohemaa Mercy has recently revealed her admiration for well-known secular musicians, Kofi Kinaata and Stonebwoy, citing the profound wisdom in their songs as her primary reason for listening to them.

Ohemaa Mercy, who is Known for her soulful gospel music and inspiring lyrics, made known that she  has always valued music that imparts knowledge and life lessons.

In a candid interview with Hitz FM’s  DJ Slim on Daybreak Hitz,  the  ‘Ote Me Mu’ hitmaker explained how the lyrical depth and insightful messages in Kofi Kinaata and Stonebwoy’s music resonate with her. She emphasized her preference for music that carries positive and wise messages, citing Stonebwoy’s “Tuff Seed” as an example. She even recalled using the song to preach, highlighting its impactful lyrics.

The gospel diva also highlighted her commitment to promoting uplifting music and her stance on collaborating with secular musicians based on their lifestyle and values.

She stated that she would not allow her household to listen to songs that she considers mere noise, emphasising the importance of meaningful content.
