Samson Deen, President of the Ghana Paralympic Committee, has revealed two former members of the Para sports federation forged documents and signatures to deceive the Norwegian Embassy to issue visas for the supposed Para athletes who have absconded after arriving in Norway.

In a quick response to news of Eleven Para athletes from Ghana who have been on the run after absconding on their arrival in Norway to partake in a Para marathon event in Oslo.

Samson Deen sharply denied ever signing a letter seeking visa assistance from the Norwegian Embassy for any Para athletes from Ghana.

The Paralympic team from Ghana has disappeared to other Schengen nations after traveling to Norway for the Fjordkraft Bergen City Marathon.

Samson Deen, the Paralympic President of Ghana, disclosed that the supposed para team arrived in Oslo after his signature was forged for visas to Norway and absconded afterward.

“I have to put it on record that the Ghana Paralympic Committee has not sent anybody or sent a letter to apply for a visa at the Norwegian embassy” Samson Deen in an interview.

“Upon our checks after receiving this letter from the Ministry of Sports, we checked and realized that the letter and signatures were forged”.

“Upon investigations, we realized the people behind it and on reaching out to them, namely Theodore Mawuli Viwotor, former Secretary general of the Ghana Paralympic Football Association, and Ernest Ayisi, founder of Ernestay Foundation, and asking how they got my signature, they indicated that one Adongo, who is nowhere to be found in Ghana now and based in Europe, is the one who forged my letter and all the signatures”.

“They forged my signature on the letter and applied for visas for some people who have no affiliation with the Ghana Paralympic Team”.

“For this matter, the two remaining individuals have been suspended from anything that has to do with Paralympic Sports in the country.”

He further stated that the Ghana Police Service has been informed about the scandal for further investigations.

“We have written to the Ghana Police Service for further investigation into this matter. The Ghana Paralympic Committee has no association with this particular issue,” he stated.

However, the National Paralympic Committee of Ghana has indefinitely suspended Mr. Theodore Mawuli Viwotor, Mr. Yaw Ayisi, and the Ernestay Foundation for their involvement in an incident.

According to a letter addressed to the three, they were suspended due to their purported involvement in the fabrication of the stamp and signature of the NPC Ghana President and the falsification of NPC letterheads.
