The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party Justin Frimpong Kodua (JFK) has warned that residents in the Ashanti Region risk having some key projects like the Boankra Inland Port, Roads, and Airport redevelopment projects stalled if former President John Mahama regains power in the December General Elections.
Addressing the party faithful in Kumasi at the official unveiling of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh as Vice Presidential candidate for the NPP, JFK asked voters to reject the opposition National Democratic Congress and its leader who has just one term to be president.
He insisted that unlike John Dramani Mahama who would not need reelection after four years, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia would rule with agency knowing that he would come back to Ghanaians for another mandate.
He argued, “Mahama is seeking just one term. He is even asking for a honeymoon. But Bawumia knows he cannot fail Ghanaians because he has to come back for the mandate of the people.”
“Four and eight which do you want? Who will come to complete our Boankra, our airports, our roads, and our schools?” he asked.
Announcing the commencement of the party’s Election 2024 campaign, Justin Frimpong Kodua rallied teaming supporters of the New Patriotic Party to pledge their commitment.
Asking each supporter to mention their names he charged them to repeat, “As we have gathered to unveil the running mate I pledge to start the campaign for the NPP.”
“I will go from house to house, room to room, bed to bed, church to church, mosque to mosque, to all women and men. god is with us and by his grace, we are winning in the name of the Father; the Son, and the holy spirit,” he ushered
The National Chairman of the NPP, Steven Ayensu Ntim called for the party to shelve all differences and unite around the party’s shared goal of winning the December 2024 Elections.
Every region and constituency has divisions and this is normal. However, if we are focused on victory, we have to bury our differences and unite for victory.
The unveiling which came off at the Jubilee Park in Kumasi was attended by President Akufo-Addo, National Executives of the party, past flagbearer hopefuls, Members of Parliament, Musicians, and a host of party faithful.
