The 2024 edition of the African Women in Agribusiness Awards has officially opened nominations to celebrate African women in agribusiness by acknowledging their achievements in overcoming challenges and making significant impacts in the sector.

Nominations, which was opened August 9, 2024, will run until September 6, 2024, under the theme “Connecting Women: Connecting African Food Systems.”

According to the organizers, Guzakuza, this year’s awards will recognize and celebrate the remarkable contributions of companies, institutions, and individuals in agribusiness.

Nana Adjoa Sifa, the Lead for Guzakuza, explained that the awards aim to inspire innovation and encourage industry players to achieve global standards.
