The leader of Democracy hub protesters, Mawuse Oliver Barker-Vormawor has asserted that the flag bearer of the Alliance for Revolutionary Change, Alan Kyeremanten asked him to be his running mate in the December 7 general election.

Speaking in an interview on Starr Chat with Bola Ray on Thursday, Mr. Barker-Vormawor made a strong clarification that, before the stop galamsey protest and his arrest, Alan Kyeremanten gave him a call to be his running mate but he rejected the offer.

“Alan Kyeremanten called me to be his running mate but I declined.”

He says he believes that there should be a third force from the smaller existing political parties to increase competition and scrutiny. Despite making this statement, he rejected Alan Kyeremanteng’s offer of making him his running mate.

The activist further made a declaration that he has consistently voted for the CPP not because he is an Nkrumahnist

“I have consistently voted for the CPP not because I am an Nkrumahnist. I am more drawn to the principle that there should be a stronger third force, that is why I always vote for a smaller party and I will continue to do so.”

The lawyer revealed that he worked at the Constitution Review Commission and later resigned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the reign of the NPP before working as a civil servant at the Office of the President in the reign of NDC.

This was after he graduated from a university in Morocco which was funded by a scholarship program under John Agyekum Kuffour.

However, Mr. Kyerematen, the Presidential Candidate of the Alliance for Revolutionary Change and founder and Leader of the Movement for Change, has chosen a running mate to support his bid for victory in the upcoming general elections on December 7.

Elijah Kwame Owusu Danso, a 40-year-old legal practitioner and experienced broadcaster known for his work at Pan African TV, has been chosen by Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen as his running mate.

He was also known by his stage name E-Nice, a member of the popular hiplife duo Echo, known for their hit single “Gologolo”, which featured Tinny before the group separated.
