The flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has disclosed that he can make painful decisions in the interest of the nation.

According to him, four years would be sufficient for him to establish his legacy.

“And I dare say that four years of a good leader is far better than eight years of a useless leader and so for me, the four years Ghanaians are going to give me is about establishing a legacy”, he disclosed in his interaction with the Upper West Regional House of Chiefs in Wa.

He continued: “So what really do I have to prove? All I have to prove in these four years is a legacy that I leave not only for my country but for my own children. I have children growing up and I think that we need to do something to put this country back on track”.

He went on further to note, “I can take the painful decisions that need to be taken in the interest of the nation more than somebody who is looking at the next election”.

“I’m coming to do my best for Ghanaians in four years. And when I finish, I go back to my soya bean and maize farm and I’ll be coming to visit you. From time to time, I’ll come to my father’s and come and visit you and see how you are doing” He concluded.
