Former Ashanti Regional Deputy Minister, Joseph Yamin has noted that there is no need to convince any business interest about the bad economy, the New Patriotic Party has served Ghanaians over the last eight years, hence they need to vote for the NDC and John Mahama to form the next government.
Speaking on Ultimate 106.9 FM, a morning show in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Yamin further noted that the impending momentous defeat of the New Patriotic Party will shake the foundation of the party and bring it to its knees.
The NDC Organizer, says happenings of the day, where poor governance has been the order of the day give his party the assurance of victory hence no businessman or woman needs convincing as the bad economy has impacted their businesses.
‘Why should I spend time convincing the businessman or the importer that this government is bad? Before this government took over the dollar that you import the vehicle with, was 1 dollar to 4 cedis, today is 1 dollar 17 cedis and you want me to spend time convincing you to vote for the NDC.
“Before this time, you (importer) could bring 3 or 4 cars, and at least put them on the market. People were able to buy and today you can’t bring one and you telling me that I should convince you? Why you should vote against this government, there must be something wrong with you, I beg you”, he retorted.
The NDC Organizer notes that the signs for his party’s victory are clear for all to see.
“Look before Akufo-Addo took over office, the cement we used to build with was 16 cedis to a bag of cement, today it’s 105 cedis in the Ashanti Region, and you are telling me to convince you why a cement bag that used to be 16 cedis years down the line is now 105.
“Apart from the so-called staunch NPP, if you are a businessman, there is no need to give you reasons why you should vote for my political party. It means that you are not interested in your business.
“When I meet the floating voters, the young voters turning up to vote for the first time, the people who are not politically inclined, I spend time to tell them about the policies, of the NDC like the 24-hour economy my party is seeking to bring”.
