Commanding Officer of Achiase Jungle Warfare, Lt Col Jacob Codjoe has warned the military will beat anyone who provokes them by fomenting trouble in the December 7 election in Achiase and its environs.

“I’m telling you here that, I will only come in this 7th December within the Akyemansa enclave, and when I come I will not talk I will beat you. I always want people to try me so those of us seated here any of you can try me on that day or try any of my men on that day” Commanding Officer of Achiase Jungle Warfare; Lt Col Jacob Codjoe said.

He however said the military will intervene only when the Police invite them to restore order.

He said this when speaking at a “Peace Concert” organized by the Salvation Army Church – Ghana in Akyem Oda, under the theme “Seek Peace and Pursue It”. He also assured the military’s readiness to act decisively against election-related violence.

He advised voters to respect themselves, obey electoral laws, and ensure peaceful conduct during the December 7 polls to safeguard Ghana’s stability.

The Territorial Commander of the Salvation Army Church – Ghana, Col. Seth Agyei Appeateng, also addressed the gathering, urging Ghanaians to uphold the nation’s peace.

He called on citizens to avoid actions that could jeopardize Ghana’s reputation as a peaceful country.
