Presidential candidate for All People’s Congress (APC), Hassan Ayariga has made a bold statement, vowing to “sleep in prison” if he becomes president, as a symbol of his unwavering commitment to fighting corruption.

Speaking on GHOne TV, Ayariga declared that under his leadership, there would be zero tolerance for corruption, and anyone found guilty would face the full force of the law, regardless of their position or influence.

“I shall never be corrupt in my lifetime as president, as a young man, and as any person in Ghana,” Ayariga declared. “I want to pledge to you that, if I become president, I’m going to sleep in prison, and that is a sign that anybody who is caught would follow there. That’s a signal that you would never be favored when you’re caught under my leadership.”

Ayariga’s statement, delivered with conviction, underscores his commitment to ethical leadership and his determination to tackle the pervasive issue of corruption that plagues Ghana.

His willingness to face the consequences of corruption himself, even going so far as to “sleep in prison,” sends a powerful message about his commitment to transparency and accountability.
