Ed Sheeran has announced a 2018 stadium tour, just days after his triumphant closing set at Glastonbury Festival.
Tickets are due to go on general sale on Saturday 8 July, via Ed’s official site, Ticketmaster and all the usual agents.
They will be on sale at 10am for British gigs, and 9am for the Ireland and Northern Ireland dates.
The dates announced so far are as follows:
Wed 09 May – Boucher Playing Fields, Belfast
Sat 12 May – Pearse Stadium, Galway
Sun 13 May – Pearse Stadium, Galway
Wed 16 May – Phoenix Park, Dublin
Fri 18 May – Phoenix Park, Dublin
Thr 24 May – Etihad Stadium, Manchester
Fri 01 June – Hampden Park, Glasgow
Fri 08 June – St James’ Park, Newcastle
Fri 15 June – Wembley Stadium, London
Sat 16 June – Wembley Stadium, London
Fri 22 June – Principality Stadium, Cardiff
We expect more dates to be added in the future.
Ed is also playing dates in Europe, including France, Germany and Netherlands.
Ed and his management have spoken out about unscrupulous ticket sellers in the past.
In an effort to combat touting on this tour, the official site warns that to gain entry to a gig you’re required to bring tickets, booking confirmation and credit card, plus a form of ID.
However, as with this year’s tour, Ed is teaming up with Twickets to allow fans to legitimately buy and sell unwanted tickets.
