As the sun rises on the bustling city of Accra, a distinct voice resonates through the airwaves, captivating listeners with engaging discussions, soulful melodies, and thought-provoking conversations. It’s the sound of Starr FM, a trailblazing radio station that has become an integral part of the city’s cultural tapestry. This year, Starr FM marks its 9th anniversary, a milestone that symbolizes a decade of dynamic broadcasting, community impact, and unwavering dedication to delivering quality content.

Starr FM’s journey began nine years ago when it emerged as a beacon of innovation in Ghana’s media landscape. Since its inception, the station has consistently pushed boundaries, embracing change, and adapting to evolving audience preferences. With a commitment to delivering insightful news, captivating entertainment, and promoting social awareness, Starr FM has earned its place as a trusted source of information and entertainment.

As part of the Station’s nine (9) year’s celebration, the Chief Executive Officer of EIB Network, Nathan Kwabena Adisi also known as Bola Ray has lauded StarrFM staff for sheer commitment to attain the new milestone.

Celebrating the new milestone, the Chief Executive Officer of EIB Network, Nathan Anokye-Adisi also known as Bola Ray sent out a heartfelt message to express his gratitude to God and also laud the staff of StarrFm both old and present for their sheer commitment to attain the new milestone.

According to him, Starr FM’s success is its team of dedicated and talented presenters, journalists, and producers. These individuals are not just broadcasters; they are storytellers, activists, and community advocates. Through their engaging shows, they’ve managed to create meaningful connections with listeners, sparking important conversations and inspiring positive change.

Bola Ray expressed gratitude to God and recounted the birth of the urban station, he said, “Starr FM is 9 today. To God be the glory, great things he has done, greater things he will do. It’s been 9 years of offering a refreshing lifestyle. 9 years ago, we birthed this idea that has grown to become a central part of the bigger ElB Network portfolio. It was a bold step of faith, courage and the determination to see it through no matter the odds.”

The CEO  also recognized the sacrifices of the staff, he said,”In the last 9 years, we’ve seen growth and doubt in equal measure but also been fortunate to keep going due to the sheer commitment of our staff – old and present. To all who played a part in this 9-year journey, God bless you. We do not take your support for granted. God has shown us mercy and we are thankful”

He assured that “As we turn the curve towards our 10th, we can only be excited about what the future holds and look ahead to growing a brand that is SIMPLY THE BEST. I look forward to a better and improved Starr than we started it and remain confident that this precious jewel of ours shall continue to drive the desired impact.”

Beyond the airwaves, Starr FM has embedded itself in the fabric of local communities. From hosting charity drives to supporting educational initiatives, the station has demonstrated a profound commitment to giving back. Its ‘Starr Woman program has brought tangible improvements to underprivileged women, fostering a sense of unity and hope among residents.
