Government has assured of adequate compensation for victims of the Budubiram dynamite explosion which claimed three lives and left several others injured.

According to the Public Relations Officer for the Ministry of Roads and Highways, Nasir Ahmed Yartey, the government is deeply concerned about the incident and is taking steps to address the needs of those impacted.

“As I speak to you, the Central Regional Minister, the Minister of Information, and other government officials, along with a representative from the contractor, are either on their way or already at the scene to visit those affected. In fact, they were there earlier and are returning today,” Ahmed Yartey told GHOne TV.

He further revealed that the government is making arrangements to cover all medical expenses for the injured and provide a dignified burial for those who lost their lives in the explosion.

In terms of compensation, he added, “Once the investigation is complete, we will review the recommendations and ensure appropriate compensation is given to the affected families.”
