Preach the Unadulterated Word of God – Rev. Ntim Fordjour to Newly Ordained Ministers

The Member of Parliament for Assin South and Senior Pastor of Victory Bible Church International (VBCI), Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, has urged newly ordained ministers to remain committed to preaching the unaltered word of God.

He believes that staying faithful to the teachings of the Bible, without distorting the gospel, is essential for effectively spreading the message of salvation and hope.

During an investiture ceremony where 10 ministers, deacons, and deaconesses were ordained by the Church of Christ (Spiritual Movement), Rev. Ntim Fordjour called on the faithful stewards of God to prioritize the spiritual well-being of the congregation.

“In Matthew 28:16-20, just before His ascension into heaven, Jesus gave His disciples the Great Commission. He charged them to go into the whole world, teach all nations, baptize them, and most importantly, teach them to observe everything He had commanded. This mandate extends to all of us as His disciples, ministers of the gospel, and workers in God’s vineyard. We are all partakers in this mission, entrusted with the responsibility to spread the unadulterated word of God.”

“Unfortunately, we live in a time when many have sidelined the centrality of Jesus in the gospel, opting instead to preach messages that appeal to the masses and bring applause. People are more focused on soundbites, what’s popular, and what will earn them praise, all while disregarding the pure word of God.”

“This is a wake-up call for the clergy and the people of God. We must rise in this generation and preach the untainted word of God—the whole counsel of God, without adding to or taking away from it. It is equally important that we live with integrity and walk the talk, as St. Paul admonishes us: ‘Imitate me as I imitate Christ.’ Our lives must align with the message we preach so that those we instruct will follow not only our words but also our deeds.”

“It is not about the size of our congregation but about the purity of the message we teach and the example we set. If we, as ministers of the gospel, commit to making Jesus the center of our message and teach the word of God in its entirety, Ghana will become a better place. We will witness a peaceful, productive, and prosperous society, and, most importantly, the mind and will of God will be realized in our midst,” he added.
