This initiative by the MP, started years ago was suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic after government took over feeding of candidates.

This year, all 1,943 candidates from both public and private schools will be served a hot meal daily to ensure no student writes on an empty stomach.

On the first day of the exams, the candidates were served jollof rice with chicken.

“Every year, there were some students who will come and write the exams on empty stomach. So I decided that if I have the opportunity to feed a few of you will do that and so for the next five days that you are going to write the exams I will provide you free lunch”.

Hon. Thomas Ampem Nyarko also assured to purchase all prospectus items for any candidate who secures single digit grade.

Some candidates who spoke to Starr News expressed gratitude for the initiative and shared high hopes of passing the exams.
