Airtel, Jaarno make online purchase of homegrown foodstuff convenient

Airtel, the Smartphone Network has partnered premier digital foodstuff marketing and distribution company, Jaarno to offer Airtel’s high value customers the convenience of shopping for locally grown food items online at a discount.

With this partnership, Airtel Premier customers will be able to shop on Jaarno’s convenient digital market place anytime, anywhere whilst enjoying up to 5% off their total bill.

Frank Djan, Head of Customer Experience at Airtel Ghana, outlined the benefits of the partnership – highlighting the desire to enrich the lives of customers through digital innovation and providing utmost convenience to high value customers.

He said “We have over the years raised the bar in customer experience through innovative solutions that responds to the needs of our customers. We are the only telecom brand that provides full blown telecom and lifestyle offers in retail, hospitality, travel, health and beauty to our loyal customers.”

He continued, “This partnership will complement Airtel’s leadership in digital innovation as it enables us to give our customers the ability to conveniently and affordably purchase fresh food items online and also pay with our leading mobile commerce platform, Airtel Money.

We are proud to be making such progress with Jaarno, a company which is aggressively redefining foodstuff retail in Ghana whilst promoting the sale and use of locally grown food items”, he concluded.

On his part, the Managing Partner of Jaarno, Ahuma Adodoadji, expressed Jaarno’s delight in partnering Airtel. He said “partnerships of this nature is not only necessary for the growth of Ghana’s digital lifestyle and e-commerce industry but also for the agric-technology industry”.

How Airtel Premier customers can access their 5% discount

Airtel Premier customers will receive a unique code via email or SMS monthly to be inputted at the designated section prior to checking out on Jaarno. Once entered, customers will have 5% off the total cost of their orders and they can proceed to check out and pay for their food items using Airtel Money or pay cash on delivery.
