35 year-old private legal practitioner, Kwame Owiredu Donkor who hails from Akyem Kusi in the Denkyembour district has picked nomination forms to contest the NPP Parliamentary Primaries in the Akwatia Constituency of the Eastern Region which is currently occupied by Hon. Mercy Adu Gyemfi popularly known as Ama Sey.
An electoral coordinator for Kusi electoral area Lawyer Owiredu Donkor was the polling agent for the party in the 2016 general elections and sponsored the party and the parliamentary candidate for NPP through the ‘adopt a polling station policy’ in the same elections.
Lawyer Donkor who started his education at Oil Palm Research Institute at Opri Kusi and completed OPRI JHS in 1999. He then went to Achimota Senior High School where he studied Elective Science and completed in 2002, and subsequently continued to the University of Ghana and graduated with BSc. in chemistry.
After his national service in 2009 he went back to the University of Ghana where he obtained his LLB from 2009 to 2011, then to the law school in 2011. Lawyer Owiredu Donkor was called into the bar in October 2013, and has since gained seven years’ experience as a lawyer.
He is currently the PRO for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Marketers Association.
Lawyer Owiredu is very optimistic to win the primaries and eventually become MP for the area.
