The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Birim Central in Eastern Region, Solomon Brako Kusi, has distributed vocational training equipment to selected young people under his Skills Empowerment Programme, fulfilling a campaign pledge to dedicate 30 percent of his salary to youth development initiatives.
The presentation, which took place at the MCE’s official residence Sunday, June 7,2026 saw beneficiaries receive industrial sewing machines, hand sewing machines, and hair dryers to support their apprenticeship and vocational training.
According to Mr. Kusi, the initiative is aimed at equipping young people with practical skills and tools to enable them to establish sustainable livelihoods, become self-reliant, and contribute meaningfully to the local economy.
