As we approach the Council of State elections, the Western North Region stands at a defining moment, a moment that calls for visionary, experienced, and selfless leadership. In this regard, one name stands out as the ideal candidate to represent our beloved region: Chairman Michael Aidoo, affectionately known as Chairman Big Aidoo. His unwavering commitment to development, proven leadership, and deep connection with the people make him the right choice for the role.

A Leader with a Track Record of Excellence

Chairman Aidoo is no stranger to leadership and service. As the Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Western North Region, he has played an instrumental role in shaping the political landscape of our region. Before the region’s creation, he served as the NDC’s Regional Chairman in the then-Western Region, where his strategic acumen and unifying leadership helped the party make significant strides.

In the just ended general elections, Chairman Aidoo spearheaded the NDC’s remarkable success, securing 8 out of 9 parliamentary seats, including the recapture of Sefwi Wiawso, Akontombra and Bibiani Ahwiawso Bekwai constituencies in the Western North Region. His leadership also contributed significantly to the massive victory of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama with over 60% votes in the region. This achievement is a testament to his ability to mobilize people, build consensus, and deliver results.

A True Champion for Education and Youth Development

Beyond politics, Chairman Big Aidoo’s heart beats for the people especially the youth. Through his scholarship program, he sponsors over 140 students annually, enabling them to pursue higher education in fields such as Law, Engineering, Nursing, and Midwifery. His generosity transcends political, tribal, and religious boundaries, making a tangible impact on the lives of countless families.

This commitment to education is a demonstration of his vision for the Western North Region one where young people are empowered with knowledge, skills, and opportunities to contribute meaningfully to national development. His leadership at the Council of State will ensure that policies affecting education and youth development receive the attention they deserve.

A Visionary Businessman and Developer

Chairman Big Aidoo is not only a leader in politics and philanthropy but also a distinguished businessman. As the Founder and Chancellor of KAAF University, he has contributed significantly to Ghana’s education sector by providing a platform for academic excellence. His expertise as a Contractor and Consultant has also seen him champion key infrastructure projects, improving the lives of people across the country.

His presence in the Council of State will bring practical insights into economic policies that drive business growth, job creation, and infrastructural development being critical areas for the progress of the Western North Region.

Broad Support from the People

Chairman Aidoo’s candidacy has received overwhelming endorsement from Paramount Chiefs, religious leaders, and various community groups across the Western North Region. These respected leaders recognize his integrity, selflessness, and unwavering dedication to the region’s development. Their support is a clear indication that Chairman Big Aidoo is the people’s choice, the leader they trust to advance their interests at the national level.

A Call to Action

As the Council of State elections approach, the Western North Region has a golden opportunity to elect a visionary leader, a philanthropist with a heart for the people, and a strategist with the experience to make a difference. Chairman Michael Aidoo has consistently demonstrated his commitment to service, development, and progress. His election to the Council of State will ensure that the Western North Region has a strong, articulate, and results-driven representative at the national level.

I call on members of the electoral college and stakeholders to rally behind Chairman Big Aidoo and support his candidature. His leadership will not only benefit the Western North Region but will also contribute immensely to Ghana’s governance and development agenda.
