One of Accra’s leading private schools, Crown Prince Academy, on Saturday, June 8, 2017 held its 14th graduation ceremony.

The ceremony which was themed “Entrepreneurship education – shaping Entrepreneurial minds” graduated 77 pupils from the class of 2017.

Addressing graduands, the Managing Director of the school, Mrs. Susanne Prince-Boateng encouraged and asked graduands to be worthy ambassadors of their Alma Mater.

“Dear Class of 2017, we are sure that you will be worthy Ambassadors of CPA wherever you find yourselves, and live up to the ideal  of your Alma Mater. Your teachers have tried their best to prepare you for your next step on your  journey in life,” she stated.

Acting headmistress of the School, Madam Belief N. Amponi-Kagson, delivering the state of the school report said the school has doubled their efforts in three main areas – recruitment of highly qualified and dedicated academic staff, restructuring of teaching time-table and subject specialization from Nursery to P3 and Strict enforcement of policies, supervision and monitoring.

On the School’s achievements, Mrs Amponi-Kagson said five pupils took part in the 4th NORLympics Taekwondo Junior Championship held in November 2016 and won medals. Ms Adwoa Nhyira in Primary one and Master William Danso, Primary 6 won Gold. The Silva Medalists were Ms Cordelia Jonfiah, Primary one and Master Leslie Nyantakyi, P 5 while Ms Manuella Amartey was decorated with Bronze.

In the same vein Ms. Eileen Okine (Graduand), took the 2nd runner –up position at the 21st UCMAS international competition held in November 2016 in Dubai. The overall world champion in the same competition was won by Primary 6 pupil, Master William Danso.

In March 2017, Toyota Ghana Ltd held its annual National Toyota Dream car contest and Master Edmund Agyei also a graduand became the reigning National Champion and stand a chance to represent Ghana at the world Contest, slated for August, 2017 in Japan.

Overall Best student

Speaking on the essence of entrepreneurship, Dr. Sena Agyepong of Ashesi University tasked graduands to be focused in order to impact their generation and the generations to come.

“If you want to impact your generation you have to keep your focus. Entrepreneurship is not starting with the big  business right away but it really the issue of what are the challenges within my environment, what are people facing around me right now and what I can do to change it. Take advantage of problems and people around you to your and their benefit,” she noted.
