CWG Plc to showcase future of African innovation at Texcellence 3.0 conference

CWG Plc, a leading technology solutions provider in Africa, is thrilled to announce the return of its technology and innovation conference, Texcellence 3.0, scheduled to take place on October 11, 2024, at the Balmoral Events Center, Lagos, Nigeria. Key highlights of Texcellence 3.0 include:

  • Panel Sessions with Industry Giants: The conference will feature sessions such as ‘Leading Financial Institutions into the Future’, where top executives from Zenith Bank, FCMB, EcoBank, and Wema Bank will discuss how technology is reshaping the financial sector.

  • Keynote Speakers: The conference will feature prominent figures in Africa’s tech ecosystem, including government representatives, CEOs, and thought leaders who are driving the continent’s tech agenda.

CWG Plc Group Chief Executive Officer/ Managing Director, Adewale Adeyipo, expressed the importance of Texcellence as a catalyst for driving Africa’s tech future: “Texcellence is more than just a conference. Ghana shall be duly represented at this year’s conference just as previous years. Leading the team from Ghana is CWG Ghana’s Managing Director, Harriet Yartey.

In addition, Dr. Kenneth Ashigbey, Chief Executive Officer, Ghana Chamber of Telecoms, will be sitting on a Government Parastals Conversation panel under the topic ‘Collaborative Innovation: Shaping Africa’s Tomorrow Economy’. He will be joined by Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, Director General, NITDA; Dr. Chinyere Almona, Director-General/ Chief Executive Officer, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Jude Chiemeka, Chief Executive Officer, NGX; and Dr. Barr Obiageli Amadiobi, Director General, NOTAP. This shall be moderated by Idy Enang, Chief Executive Officer, Corporate Sheperds and President, NIMN.

David Gowu, Chief Executive Officer, Inngen Ghana and President, Institute of ICT Professionals Ghana (IIPGH), will make a presentation on the topic, ‘Empowering the Workforce of Tomorrow: Digital Skills for a Transformative Future’.

After his presentation, he shall join a Technology and Leadership Conversation panel on the topic, ‘Disruption to Evolution: The Next Chapter in Banking’. Other members of this panel include Adewale Salami, Chief Innovation Officer, FirstBank; Dr. Wale Obadare, Chief Executive Officer, Digital Encode; and Oluwafiropo Tobi Ogundare, Regional Sales Lead, West Africa and Mauritius, Redhat. This panel is moderated by Dr. Franklin Agwu.
