The Managing Director of Sambus Geospatial Ltd, Akua Aboabea Aboah, has led a delegation to pay a courtesy call on the Ga Mantse, His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, ahead of the ESRI User Conference West Africa 2026.
The visit was to formally inform the Ga Mantse about the regional conference, scheduled to take place in Accra on 15th and 16th September 2026, and to officially invite him to grace the opening ceremony.
Speaking during the meeting, Ms Aboah said the conference would bring together government officials, industry leaders, researchers, development partners and geospatial professionals from across West Africa to explore how Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and location intelligence are transforming governance, infrastructure, environmental management and sustainable development.
She noted that hosting the conference in Accra underscores Ghana’s growing role as a regional hub for geospatial innovation and presents an opportunity to strengthen collaboration across the sub region.
The Ga Mantse welcomed the delegation and commended Sambus Geospatial Ltd for championing technology driven solutions that support national and regional development. He thanked the team for the invitation and wished them success in organising a successful conference.
The ESRI User Conference West Africa 2026 will be held at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel, Accra, and will feature keynote addresses, technical sessions, exhibitions and networking opportunities focused on the future of geospatial technology in Africa.
