The final funeral rites of Ghana’s highlife legend, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, have been scheduled for Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

Announcing the arrangements, the family stated, “We wish to announce the Final Funeral Rites of the legendary Ghanaian Highlife musician, Daddy Lumba. Date: Saturday, 6th December 2025. Venue: Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi, Ghana. Come join family, friends, fans, and well-wishers as we bid a dignified farewell to an icon whose music touched generations.”

The announcement follows earlier activities organized in his honour, including the opening of a book of condolence at his Kinshasha Crescent residence in Accra on July 29, and a candlelight vigil held on August 2 at Independence Square and One week observation.

Daddy Lumba passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the age of 60, while receiving treatment at the Bank Hospital in Accra.

His death has been met with an outpouring of grief nationwide, with tributes from fans, industry colleagues, and political figures celebrating his immense contribution to Ghanaian music.

The family has expressed deep appreciation to Ghanaians for their love and support during this difficult time.

Meanwhile, management of the late musician has confirmed that the Presidency has assured a state-assisted and befitting burial for the highlife legend, whose legacy continues to inspire generations.
