Aggrieved customers of Gold Coast Fund Management are set to hold a public gathering in Accra on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, to demand urgent action towards the payment of their outstanding locked-up funds.
The exercise, being organised by the Leadership of the Aggrieved Customers of Gold Coast Fund Management, will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the forecourt of the Ebenezer Presby Church in Osu.
The organisers say the gathering will be followed by the presentation of a petition to President John Dramani Mahama at the Jubilee House.
According to a statement issued by the group’s Convener, Charles Nyame, buses will be provided at 11:00 a.m. to transport protesters from the convergence point to the Jubilee House.
The organisers stressed that protesters would not walk from Osu to the Jubilee House, with all participants expected to use the buses provided for the exercise.
The group is calling on affected customers to participate in large numbers, saying their unity and peaceful determination remain critical to pressing their demand for the release of their funds.
The organisers have also invited customers and individuals affected by the collapse of other financial institutions to join the action, arguing that the financial sector crisis affected thousands of Ghanaian families whose funds remain outstanding.
They are further appealing to media organisations, journalists, civil society groups, religious bodies, traditional leaders and the general public to support their call for the government to expedite action on outstanding locked-up funds.
The group assured authorities and the public that the gathering and subsequent movement to the Jubilee House would be peaceful, orderly and disciplined.
“Enough is enough! Pay our locked-up funds!” the aggrieved customers said.
