Ghanaian actress Gloria Safo has said she fears that she would be neglected when she attains veteran status.
According to her, the fears stem from the sordid situation of the veteran actors who practically beg to survive.
Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty, she said that the veteran actors are very sad in their current situation because members of the public have forsaken them.
However, Safo said that the disturbing situation of the veteran actors cut across including veteran producers and directors who are usually backroom personnel.
She appealed to the public and the government to support veterans of the creative arts space.
Safo has taken it upon herself to donate to veteran actors, especially on her birthdays as part of moves to give back to society.
