Hurray! Globe Productions is 10 years. From 2009 till date, Globe Productions has been consistent with the quality, hilarious and family-oriented stage plays in educating and entertaining its patrons.

Patronage has soared over the years. As of 2018, our audience base has increased to over 30,000 across five cities, which are Accra, Kumasi, Tamale, Ho and Takoradi. The growing interest of patrons and the positive impact of our plays on the society have necessitated and motivated Globe Productions and its playwright Latif Abubakar to continue with the tri-annual performances and regional tours. We hope to impart and touch more lives in the years ahead with an improvement in the quality and hilarity of our plays.

Globe and its playwright have, over the period, produced and performed social-oriented plays that have contributed significantly towards the development of theatre arts in the country. Some of the plays include “I Can’t Think Far,” which emphasized on peaceful election and nonviolence, “Saints and Sinners” highlighted the menace of Galamsey, “Men Don Die” focused on road safety, and “Judas and Delilah” centred on health and first aid tips and many more.

In commemoration of Globe’s tenth year of production, Latif will stage another daring play dubbed “Christmas-In-April”. It is the playwright’s 13th play and the first of the 10th-anniversary celebration events. “Christmas-In-April,” tells the story of four financially handicapped guys who were tricked into an unknown, but a scandalous business with a high prospect of migrating to the United States of America. As they soon realize they have been swindled, and that the USA travel promise was fake, their leader gets nabbed. They escape, only to run into Father Christmas. Confused and shocked, they wonder if they have encountered a ghost, a CID officer or a true Santa.

Wondering how Santa just came early? Then, join Globe Productions and The Mirror as we enjoy “Christmas-In-April,” a play by Latif Abubakar. Experience this theatre special live at the Accra International Conference Centre on 27th and 28th April 2019. There will be two shows each day, 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Rate: GHȼ80. Grab an early bird ticket at GHȼ60 by 24th April.

Tickets are available at Koala Osu, Baatsona Total, Silver Bird, Yah at Junction Mall, Shell shops at the Airport, Tema Community 11 and Sakaman. Call 0275027000 for delivery or dial *447*1092# to buy tickets via all mobile money platforms.

Christmas-In-April is sponsored by Nobel International Business School, Yomi Yogurt and 10 over 10 drinks. Media partners include TV3, 3FM, Sunny FM, Citi FM and Graphic Showbiz.
