Starr 103.5 FM is set to introduce a new health-focused programme, Morning Rounds with Dr Sompa, aimed at providing listeners with practical and accessible medical information.

The programme, hosted by Dr Sompa Otabil-Nelson, will premiere on Saturday, September 5, 2026, and will air every Saturday morning at 7am.

Dr. Sompa Otabil-Nelson is the founder and CEO of Dinah Gayle Medical. She is a Family Medicine physician with over a decade of experience dedicated to the art and science of healing. She earned her medical degree from the University of Kentucky before completing her residency at Emory University Hospital; which is recognised among one of the top 50 hospitals in the United States.

Throughout her years of practice, Dr. Otabil-Nelson has focused on full-scope medicine. Her expertise spans the entire spectrum of life, from neonatal care to geriatrics, ensuring that every patient receives patient-centered care regardless of the complexity of their needs.

As the Founder and CEO of Dinah-Gayle Medical, she has translated her international experience into a sanctuary for primary care. She doesn’t just treat symptoms; she champions whole-person wellness. Dr. Otabil-Nelson is an advocate for patient education and health equity, operating on the firm conviction that the most potent medicine is a foundation of understanding and trust by forming lifelong partnerships with those she serves.

Morning Rounds with Dr Sompa will address a wide range of health-related issues, including everyday health concerns, medical conditions, prevention, treatment, nutrition and lifestyle.

The programme is designed to give listeners an opportunity to ask health-related questions and gain insights that can help them make informed decisions about their wellbeing.

Through simple and engaging discussions, Dr Sompa will provide medical knowledge intended to help listeners better understand their bodies and take a more proactive approach to their health.

Promoted as a platform where “your health takes centre stage,” the programme encourages listeners not to keep their health concerns to themselves but to ask questions, learn and take charge of their health.

Morning Rounds with Dr Sompa will air exclusively on Starr 103.5 FM every Saturday at 7am.
