Kwasia Kwarteng, spokesperson to Kennedy Agyapong, has urged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to acknowledge its 2024 election defeat and focus on rebuilding to secure victory in future polls.
Speaking on The Verdict with Isaac Addae on Starr FM, Kwarteng said the party is in the process of rebranding and re-strategizing following what he described as a “devastating loss.”
“We must also accept the reality as a party. We are rebranding, re-strategizing and of course we are trying to fix the image of our party after the devastating loss we’ve had in the previous election,” he said.
Kwarteng emphasized that restoring the party’s strength will take time.
“Rebuilding is not an event; it has always been a process,” he added.
He expressed confidence that the party’s efforts would yield results by the next electoral cycle.
“I’m sure we will be able to measure the performance of our party well probably in the coming years — 2027 and 2028. We should be able to put a very strong performance, especially in the 2028 election where I’m convinced we will win as a party,” Kwarteng said.
